It's the battle of the acronyms, and only one will be victorious! Hint: place your bets on CGIS.
Coolest Girl in School is a marvel. It's funny, rude, and even a little sexy. It plays hooky during homeroom, smokes in the bathroom, and makes out at parties. It tells your parents to shove off, gets drunk at the prom, and flashes the captain of the football team.
This carefree attitude is damn fun, and so what if it doesn't have much going for it in terms of the graphics? It's the kind of game (using the term loosely here-- it's more like a free-form multiple choice quiz with points) that you want to read outloud with your friends, just to hear the ridiculous back-and-forth jokes.
Somehow, without trying too hard, Coolest Girl in School manages to make Leisure Suit Larry look woefully behind the times. There's certainly room for improvement (the game mechanics themselves could use some tweaking) but the heart and soul of CGIS is alive, and it has personality to spare.
In fact, CGIS should toss a little personality over Crypto's way. Destroy All Humans: Crypto Does Vegas is a flat, painful to play shooter based on the open world PS2 games. The main problem is that you are forced to fire your lasers in a circle while Crypto meanders around randomly, which is incredibly annoying.
Some games set the shooting to automatic, but this one sets the movement to automatic, and what's left is a game that's not very fun. It's too bad, because the graphics are pretty nice and everything blows up good. But even if you are a fan of Crypto, you'll probably hate the way this game is designed. It doesn't even attempt an open-world design the way Dead Rising did on mobile, and Crypto fails pretty badly for playing it so safe.
